الوزيرة طوقان تلتقي وكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والمدير التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع

(عمان- 13 كانون ثاني 2026 )- التقت وزيرة التخطيط والتعاون الدولي زينه طوقان بوكيل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والمدير التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع السيد خورخي موريرا دا سيلفا بحضور كل من المديرة الإقليمية للمنظمة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط والأردن السيدة بانا كالوتي، والمدير التشغيلي لمكتب المنظمة في عمّان، السيد محمد عثمان أكرم، والمنسق المقيم لمنظمات الأمم المتحدة في الأردن السيدة شيري ريتسما-أندرسون، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك فيما يتعلق بالجهود التنموية والإنسانية.
وخلال اللقاء عبرت الوزيرة طوقان عن شكرها لدعم مكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع في مجالات التعليم والرعاية الصحية والحماية الاجتماعية والبنية التحتية، كما تم التباحث حول أولويات التعاون للفترة المقبلة. واشارت طوقان لأهم المشاريع الجديدة والقائمة التي تنفذها المنظمة، وتناولت سبل توسيع استفادة الأردن في مجال الصحة والرعاية الاجتماعية، بما يتوافق مع أولويات البرنامج التنفيذي الجديد.
من جانبه أكد دا سيلفا التزام مكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع بتعزيز التعاون مع الحكومة الأردنية من خلال تنفيذ سلسلة من المبادرات والمشاريع الحيوية في قطاع الحماية الاجتماعية والصحة والمياه، وقطاع التعليم في الأردن. وأبدى المسئولون الامميون في المنظمة اهتماماً بتقديم المساعدات الفنية اللازمة لتنفيذ مبادرات تندرج ضمن الأولويات التنموية في رؤية التحديث الاقتصادي.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Meets United Nations UnderSecretaryGeneral and Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services
(Amman 13 January 2026) – Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan met with Mr. Jorge Moreira da Silva, United Nations UnderSecretaryGeneral and Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). The meeting was attended by Ms. Bana Kaloti, UNOPS Regional Director for the Middle East and Jordan; Mr. Muhammad Usman Akram, UNOPS Operations Director in Amman; and Ms. Sheri RitsemaAnderson, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Jordan. Discussions focused on strengthening avenues of cooperation to support developmental and humanitarian efforts.
During the meeting, Minister Toukan expressed her appreciation for UNOPS’ extended support to education, healthcare, social protection, and infrastructure. Discussions also covered cooperation priorities in the coming period . Toukan highlighted key new and ongoing projects implemented by UNOPS, and addressed ways to expand Jordan’s benefit in the areas of health and social protection, in line with the priorities of the new Executive Programme.
For his part, Mr. da Silva reiterated UNOPS’ commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Government of Jordan through the implementation of a series of initiatives and projects in the sectors of social protection, health, water, and education. The UNOPS officials expressed interest in providing technical assistance to implement initiatives aligned with the development priorities of the Economic Modernisation Vision.
